About the concert
The concert spans a wide range from Baroque architecture to contemporary sound language to the concertante virtuosity of the present day. It begins with Johann Sebastian Bach’s Suite No. V in C minor, a work of structural clarity and inner density. This is followed by Franghiz Ali-Zadeh’s Marimba Concerto, which expands traditional ideas of sound and places the instrument in a modern, suspenseful context. The concert concludes with Ney Rosauro’s Marimba Concerto, whose melodic accessibility and rhythmic energy powerfully showcase the marimba as a solo concert instrument.

“Music that touches the heart” – this is Regula Dudás’s main concern. She obtained her teaching diploma at the Zurich Conservatory (Adalbert Roetschi). While studying for her concert diploma, she chose to specialize in chamber music (Eckart Heiligers). Throughout her years of musical training, the cello was an important and instructive addition. She also received important inspiration from Jürg Dähler and Martina Schucan (chamber music), Helmut Deutsch and Daniel Fueter (song accompaniment). Regula Dudás loves to play chamber music in duos and larger ensembles. She is a member of the ensemble Les Soufflés (playful words and sounds, www.souffles.ch). Accompanying and coaching singers and instrumentalists of all ages and levels is also close to her heart. Since 2004, she has held an organ position in the Weinland Mitte parish and appreciates the countless possibilities that an organ offers. Since 2018, she has been working as a piano teacher at the Winterthur Youth Music School. She is fascinated by the challenge of finding an individual approach for each student. Since January 2022, she has been coaching salto corale.
